A police officer has found himself on the other side of the law after getting drunk and crashing into his own police station.

Sergeant Jeff Krepina, from Parma Heights in the US, rammed the front of the police department's building with his truck, it is reported.

According to the crash report, he had a blood alcohol level of nearly twice the US legal drink drive limit.

A 35-year-old Texas woman has been jailed after police say she made her 12-year-old daughter drive her to a bar.
